Arctic Zero Ice Cream Review

Arctic Zero is a company that makes all natural, fat free, low calorie ice cream. When I say low calorie, I really mean low calorie. Arctic Zero makes ice cream pints that are less then 150 calories! I have never seen any other brand have a pint with this low amount of calories. They have seven different flavors, plus seasonal flavors. But before I tell you about the flavors, I'd like to tell you more about the ice cream.

On top of the ice cream being all natural, fat free, and less then 150 calories (per pint); it's also Gluten free, it's suitable for lactose intolerants, low in carbs, Kosher, Non-GMO, low Glycemic, suitable for type 2 diabetes, high in fiber, 14 grams of whey protein, they are great for kids because they don't contain any sugar alcohols, and they are delicious!

For 1/2 cup of ice cream there are only 5 grams of sugar. How do you think they keep it sweet, yet low in sugar? Well, they say that customers kept asking them to make some of their flavors sweeter, and they wanted to accomplish this without using sugar. They decided on a more natural source, so they went with monk fruit concentrate with organic cane sugar. They added 8 grams of fiber per pint of ice cream. Not only did they increase the sweetness to the flavors, but they also cut the grams of sugar in each pint by 30%.

I received each pint flavor they make plus two boxes of the ice cream bars they make.
As I said above, the pints are available in seven flavors plus seasonal flavors. The seven flavors are - Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Coffee, Cookies & Cream, Mint Chocolate Cookie, Strawberry, and Vanilla Maple. Along with all of these flavors, I also received Pumpkin Spice. For the ice creams bars they have a 4-pack box with 2 Vanilla and 2 Chocolate and a 4-pack box with 2 Strawberry and 2 Orange Cream. The bars are only 85 calories per bar!

So how do they all taste? Well, the first thing I tried was the Orange Cream bar. I thought it was delicious, however, I thought they were a little bit too frozen. Believe it or not, but they were pretty much a solid rock when I received them. Which, is a good thing, if you take in the fact the temperatures that are around now. They nicely packed the ice cream with a big chunk of dry ice but I was surprised to find the ice cream solid frozen. I tried turning down my freezer, but it didn't seem to help. The ice cream pints weren't as creamy as I thought they would be. I feel comfortable saying it was more like sherbet. I loved the Orange Cream bars the most, but I also liked the pint of Strawberry, which Chris ate pretty much the whole thing!  He also ate one of the strawberry bars.

I'm really happy that I have this ice cream in my freezer. It gives me the option to eat something so much healthier rather then some ice cream from the 5 gallon bucket Chris bought, that is sitting in the freezer too.

I would recommend this ice cream if you like eating ice cream, but then feel guilty after eating it or if you rather have a healthier option.
