Surya Brasil Color Fixation Review

Surya Brasil was founded in 1995. The first product they launched with was Surya Henna Powder that is formulated with raw ingredients imported from India. Shortly after launching, it became the top company in the henna hair coloring industry. The company started exporting to the United States in 1997 and finally opened it's first US office in New York in 2001. It still ranks first today.

I received the products from their Color Fixation line and when I first received the I was excited to try them. I love trying hair products so I couldn't wait. Unfortunately, the Hair Mask somehow ended up breaking open (the lid popped off somehow) during shipment and it covered everything in the package. Thankfully I was able to salvage everything else and when I contacted the lady I was in contact with, she was very nice and gladly sent me a new one.

In the mean time, I ended up trying the Color Fixation Shampoo and Conditioner. I have to be honest, when I first used it, I had no idea it was "color fixation". The day that I used it, we ended up going to Chris' Mom's house. While walking out the front door, his Mom's boyfriend asked me if I dyed my hair since the last time we were over. I told him no. I hadn't. I just thought he was crazy or something, haha. It didn't even cross my mind that it could have been the shampoo or conditioner. But then when I sat down at the table outside and Chris' Mom said, "Oh you dyed your hair? It looks nice. I like it". I looked at her with a raised eyebrow and told her I didn't dye my hair. That's when it hit me. I said that it must have been the new shampoo and conditioner that I used (I also used the Leave-In Conditioner Cream). When we got home, I checked the bottles, and that's when I noticed it was "color fixation". All of this told me that this product really works. When I looked at my hair, I did notice that my hair looked more vibrant. It did look freshly dyed. It was great. I instantly fell in love with this product. I wish the bottles of shampoo and conditioner were bigger because for someone with hair like mine; thick and curly, these bottles won't last long. I just used them again tonight and I'm pretty much out already. I only got to use them about 5-6 times.

I am also excited to have the Leave-In Conditioner. It's been years since I have used a leave in conditioner but I remember the benefits it gave my hair. Since I have long, thick, curly hair, it's really hard to brush and detanglers don't work. If I use the Leave-In conditioner before bed and throw my hair up in messy bun, I can easily brush it out in the morning with very little troubles. It also keeps my hair feeling soft and looking a lot fuller, rather then laying flat, which my hair hardly does, but it does get poofy and frizzy a lot and the Leave-In Conditioner helps with that too. If we're planning on going on and being in the car a lot or wind, I will put some in my hair to help tame fly-aways and frizziness. Surya Brasil has become my hairs best friend. Seriously. I will definitely miss not have the shampoo and conditioner.

The Color Fixation line also includes Restorative Serum, which is for split ends and it makes the hair shiner and locks in color, making it last longer. The Single Application (mask) focuses on the hair fibers. It restores color treated hair and restores it's beauty. The Mask pretty much did the same thing as the Leave-In Conditioner did for me. It left my hair feeling soft, smooth, and fuller. It will lock in color, allowing it to last longer and just leaving your hair looking beautiful and healthy.

You may think that these products are expensive. But they aren't. Not at all. Okay, well the prices are a little higher then your average shampoo, conditioner, and other hair products, but not by much at all.

Color Fixation Shampoo and Conditioner: $9.99 for 250ml
Restorative Hair Mask: $8.99 for 230ml
Single Application (mask):  $3.99 for 30ml
Leave-In Conditioner: $7.99 for 300ml
Restorative Serum: $7.99 for 30ml
